For this project, I began by modelling the scrolls. I modelled the handle/rod of the scroll and used a plane wrapped around the rod to create the paper. I created a few versions of the rolled paper to add variation to the models. I developed the scene further by modelling other assets to create a complete scene. I liked the idea of having several scrolls across a table and stacked on shelves so I decided to create other assets to develop the scene into a wizard's study. I created other assets for the scene including the tables as well as the room itself with cobblestone walls, wooden floorboards and pillars. Later on I added vases which contained more scrolls along with a bookshelf. I also used a boolean modifier to cut out sections of the walls to add in a window and doorway. I assigned basic material shaders to the assets. Once the models were completed, I UV unwrapped them, grouped them into a few texture groups, and exported them. I imported each of the assets groups into Substance painter and applied various materials. I then exported the textures and imported them into Maya. I rendered the final images using Arnold.
